The first Seasons of Heaven trailer, the very first game made by AnyArts Production, has been released onto YouTube, showing off the game’s many environments along with what looks like the main character, but it doesn’t look like any story information has been revealed in the game so far.
Seasons of Heaven, based on the novel by Nico Augusto, will be telling the story of the fall of human civilization on account of their abuse of the environment, which caused the “greatest purge humanity has ever known.” The two main characters in the Seasons of Heaven trailer will be Yann, a young boy afflicted with Asperger’s Syndrome, and his French Bulldog friend Ani.
Each of the two characters will have certain skills available for use, such as Ani apparently being able to search for things while Yann can do other things. Using Yann and Ani, players will explore the world around them, including beautiful landscapes and at least one instance of traveling through the air.
The title will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, with no word on whether or not it’ll be anywhere else, but in the meantime we can only look forward to what will hopefully be more trailers that give us indications of a clearer narrative, along with more of the game’s pretty environments and how the game mechanics will be.
The environments that are shown in the Seasons of Heaven trailer are thankfully wide and varied, ranging from large, forested grasslands, to massive cliffs hanging over a sea of clouds, to a mountainous area with a mysterious-looking tower, to a cave let up by dozens of candles.
There’s no indication of a release date in the Seasons of Heaven trailer, but in the meantime if you’re interested in how it looks, you can find the trailer further up in this article.
