If you thought that the Samsung Galaxy S7 was an expensive phone then you will be disappointed to know that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be even more expensive. It would make sense looking at the loss that the company has taken from the Note7 mishap. It seems that the company is trying to make some money back from the incident.
Reports also claim that the raw material cost for making the Samsung Galaxy S8 has also increased as compared to the previous S7 and that could also be a contributing factor to the increasing price of the device. Word has it that this will be an impressive device and that may be one way of saying that it is money well spent but we are still not sure if all the features and specs justify the increased price.
According to rumors the device will have the following specs:
- 6 GB RAM
- Genuine Octa-Core 5.X GHz processor
- 32/64/128 GB memory
- Camera–20 MP
- Secondary: 10 MP Camera(With Flash)
- Super Ultra-Amoled Display
- Waterproof Technology
- 5-G Network Connection
- Infrared Sensors
Samsung devices have always had great cameras, especially the flagship phones, and this phone will be no exception either. A 20 MP camera will be great for shooting images and video while the front facing 10 MP camera will be enough for those great selfies. Still, will it be enough?
The phone is expected to come out in February 2017 and is rumored to cost about $900. We have also heard that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 could come with a digital assistant but we will have to see if that rumor comes true or not.
It is safe to say that there is a lot of hype surrounding this upcoming flagship from Samsung and I hope that users are not disappointed in the end. What do you think about the Samsung Galaxy S8?
