As promised, Arkane Studios has released the free update for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that brings the Dishonored 2 Game Plus mode.
In a press release, Bethesda confirmed that with the new Dishonored 2 Game Plus mode players will be able to combine the abilities of Emily kaldwin and Corvo Attano’s signature powers to create custom combos.
To access the Dishonored 2 game Plus mode, players will first have to complete the game either as Emily or Corvo. Game Plus mode lets players start the game over as either character with access to all of the abilities along with the traits and runes collected from their previous playthrough.
Bethesda also previewed the upcoming update for Dishonored 2 that will drop next month. This next update will bring a mission select option and custom difficulty setting.
Dishonored 2 faced some performance issues at launch for the PC version. However, the issue was somewhat resolved with multiple patches. According to Game director Harvey Smith, they extensively tested the game for PC but PC is the most varied platforms support.
There were some combinations of things that we didn’t expect, even if we did a lot of tests with the game. Very high-end CPUs with low-end GPUs, and older drivers, things like that. I’m a PC gamer and, in my opinion, there is nothing like running on a super high-end PC. But it’s also the most varied platform to support. It’s more complicate to work with PCs rather than consoles.
Also, there has been many discussions over the internet about the love interest of Emily Kaldwin. Recently, Harvey Smith was asked if Emily kaldwin is gay or not. To this he responded:
This is an action game, we do not delve into that. There’s no time nor space for much romance. But I think that, as a confident young woman brought up to lead and to stand against detractors and enemies, representing an Empire, Emily simply does as she pleases, and has probably dallied with a variety of people. However, her heart belongs to Wyman.
Dishonored 2 is a stealth action game developed by Arkane Studios for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
