More security, less optimization and bug fixes is all about the latest GeForce Nvidia 376.33 drivers update version. Driver team at GeForce Nvidia came up with fresh news focusing major on security and software protection instead of casual updates: lots of optimization and bug fixes.
What this version does is that it fixes multiple-low level security vulnerabilities, including the one that bypasses administrator access in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 machines by allowing a rogue piece of software to gain the access. Nvidia, further, addressed other issues including the video corruption problem; the problem persisted every time a user watched two YouTube videos simultaneously in the chrome browser.
Meanwhile, other issues remained unaffected in the latest update based on “security” theme. Example: Dead Rising 4 kept on crashing if the resolution presets of the game are set at low or medium level graphics settings. Moreover, SLI profile for TitanFall 2 was also disable by Nvidia in the latest update
GeForce Nvidia launched the driver version 376.33 on December 14, 2016, but, quite frankly it does not address the graphics issues nor does the optimization fix. Instead it focuses on security issues which most of users are least interested about. You can download the latest Nvidia’s security themed version from here.
Let us know what you make of this move from GeForce Nvidia, working on optimization and crash fixes over security issues does not seem to be a viable option for the graphics cards which are actually meant to deliver graphics output at first hand, instead GeForce Nvidia did the opposite.
