Shinji Hashimoto has recently stated that this game’s release won’t necessarily happen in 2017 as the team is still working on the project and there’s nothing sure at this moment. So, the only thing we can do in the meanwhile is to wait for an official announcement by Square-Enix. The company, however, has recently revealed Final Fantasy VII Remake Figures by Play Arts Kai.
These figures represent Cloud and Barret, the protagonists of the game, and they look very good.
Some pictures are provided below.
Both Final Fantasy VII Remake figures will cost around $125, being available in stores and online within Spring 2017.
Speaking to Dengeki Playstation, also director Tetsuya Nomura talked about Final Fantasy VII Remake, focusing on the combat system of the game.
He couldn’t say much about it, but he ensured that this game mechanics will be something different from the series’ habits.
The battle system in this Remake is also vastly different, so I think we need to communicate very clearly just how exactly battles will work. We’re currently trying to elevate various aspects up to finished quality.
He ensured that one of the key elements of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be action, in response to people who were asking for the return of Active Time Battle system. However, he said that fans of the traditional series will also enjoy this new system.
