EA Servers are currently down for many users across the globe. Players are having issues in Asia, North America but the good news is that EA is aware of the problem and is looking into it.
@w_p_c Hi there! We are aware of the issues regarding connectivity at the moment, the team is investigating. Sorry! -Owen.

Players are unable to log-in to different games due to EA servers being down for the time being. It can not be said exactly when servers will be back up online. However, it should take much time for EA to sort things out. We don’t know what the problem is but we hope EA servers are not under another DDoS attack.
EA has been a victim of DDoS attacks on a number of occasions. Servers were also down at the release of Battlefield 1. Server stability is a major issue for many game developers and publishers – Be it Sony, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft or others – the issues are all the same. Companies need to spend more money to stabilize and protect their servers for a smooth experience.
Over time we will see improvements if we are vocal on the matter.
In other news, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is releasing next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. EA is developing the game and this time it will have a story mode.
One can only hope servers will remain online at Battlefront’s release.
