All eight teams have been confirmed for next week’s IEM Gyeonggi League of Legends tournament at the Goyang Sports Complex stadium in South Korea.

The official announcement also breaks down the group stage matches with Samsung Galaxy going against Vega Squadron, and J Team against Immortals in Group A. On the side of Group B, Kongdoo Monster is scheduled to face Dark Passage while Team Liquid is being pitted against Giants Gaming.
Korean powerhouse ROX Tigers was originally expected to take part in the IEM Gyeonggi League of Legends tournament. However, the team failed to submit a full roster for the event which forced it to abandon its spot to Samsung Galaxy.
A number of teams will be showcasing brand new rosters next weekend. Immortals has gone through a complete overhaul, confirming top-laner Lee “Flame” Ho-jong and AD Carry Cody “Massacre” Sun only last night. Team Liquid is another organization which has done significant changes to its roster, bringing in Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin in the jungle for one.
It will be interesting to see how the teams perform with their new members on-stage next week. IEM Gyeonggi allows them an early opportunity at preparation before the 2017 LCS Spring Sprint officially begins.
The IEM Gyeonggi League of Legends event is scheduled to take place from December 16-18. The winning team not only secures a flashy IEM trophy but also an important slot at IEM Katowice for the World Championship next year.
