Housemarque has announced that they are developing a Resogun PS4 Pro update in order to allow the game to run in the more powerful graphical settings that the Playstation 4 Pro is capable of. The update will provide HDR and 4K support for the game, though there’s no release date for when it will release.
Resogun came out back in 2014, and is a voxel-based, side-scrolling shooter game that has had two different DLCs release for it released in 2014 and 2015. In the game, players control a ship that must make its way through various levels, destroying enemies and rescuing humans. The game was well-received by critics for its graphics, gameplay, and soundtrack.
Considering how popular the game was, Housemarque beginning development on a Resogun PS4 Pro update will likely help the game to get back into the public eye, which hopefully won’t be too hard especially considering the game’s graphics and how well it was received by gamers.
Numerous games are already announcing various ports and updates so that they can play on the Playstation 4 Pro, which has touted better frame rates and resolutions for games and is the direct competitor to the Xbox One Scorpio, though which will end up looking better once both are released is still a matter of debate.
Housemarque has also announced a new game at the Playstation Experience in Anaheim this past weekend, called Nex Machina.
With a new game from such a talented developer, along with a Resogun PS4 Pro update, it’s likely that Housemarque may have a very good year ahead of it, especially if Nex Machina makes as much of an impression in the gaming community as Resogun originally did.
So, if you’ve got a Playstation 4 Pro and have been wondering what Resogun would look like on a Playstation 4 Pro, then you just have to be on the lookout for when Housemarque implements the update.
