With the Ark Survival Evolved release on Playstation 4 yesterday, Studio Wildcard has brought its open-world survival game to all three major game platforms: Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, and it’s been a long time coming. And that’s not all, either; according to Wildcard, cross-platform play will also be coming soon for the game.
Ark Survival Evolved is available on the Playstation Store in the form of the Ark Survivor’s Pack, which not only gives players the base game but also the Scorched Earth DLC, normally costing 20 dollars extra. Instead, you can have both the base game and the DLC for 54.99, a bit below the price of a regular game.
Ark Survival Evolved is an early access title (and it’s been one for around the past two years) that revolves around players trying to survive on an alien planet surrounded by dinosaurs. Players can tame dinosaurs, craft weapons and clothes and dwellings, and help build their own tribes to explore the world around them.
The game has been available on PC and Xbox One for a good while now, but is only just now making its way over to Playstation 4. The game is also still in early access, though Studio Wildcard is aiming for Spring 2017 to finally bring the game out of Early Access and actually release it, though it’s likely that work will still continue on the game.
Numerous updates are still in the pipeline for Ark, and will all most likely be in place for the official Ark Survival Evolved Release, but in the meantime Studio Wildcard will still be hard at work making sure that every bit of available content is going to be in place in the game before it releases sometime next year.
In the meantime, players can keep exploring the game and building up their own little “civilizations”, while preparing for what the full release of the game has to offer for them.
