Pokemon Sun And Moon launched with some stellar reviews and was also a huge financial success. However, it seems that follower Pokemon functionality might be returning to the franchise.
Follower Pokemon is a largely popular aspect of Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver which allowed players to let their Pokemon follow them wherever they go. Since then fans have asked developers to bring it back but Game Freak did not introduce it in any of the games that followed.
However, it seems that this will change as Twitter user KazoWAR has data mined the game’s files and found that each creature in the game has a low-polygon count model with walking and running animations. This might be an indication that we will see Follower Pokemon back in the franchise.
Also, there is a rumor making rounds on the internet that Pokemon Sun And Moon is being developed for Nintendo Switch. According to the report, this version is already being developed by Gamefreak, launching in 2017 with the name of Pokémon Stars.
So hopefully we will see this follower Pokemon functionality in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Sun And Moon.
Pokemon Sun And Moon is a role-playing game developed by Game Freak for Nintendo 3DS. The game follows the journey of a young Pokémon trainer as they train their Pokemon. The game takes place in fictional Alola region which is based on Hawaii.
