343 Industries continues to deliver new free content with updates and this time the developer has announced Halo 5 Monitor’s Bounty Update which is the largest update for the game to date and will arrive on December 8, 2016.
Halo 5 Monitor’s Bounty Update is so large that 343 Industries is revealing the contents of this update in two parts. According to the devs, “join in progress” which is a custom game browser for Halo 5 will be added and will also be available for PC too allowing PC fans to join in the fun.
Halo 5 Monitor’s Bounty Update will also add an Observer Mode that will make spectating, casting and sharing Halo 5 matches much easier. Observer Mode was first featured during the 2016 Halo World Championships and after the update is released players can access it in custom game lobbies for matches of up to eight players and two teams.
Players can change the UI or toggle their camera angle, enabling players to view the match as they wish.
With this update, players will also be able to gift each other with certain Gold REQ packs. To help players how to use this feature, all players will receive a free pack they can’t open but they can gift it to someone.
Players will be required to be Spartan Rank 5 or higher in order to purchase more gift-able REQ packs which can only be purchased with cash.
That is not all, as Halo 5 Monitor’s Bounty Update will bring a slew of new weapons and more content. Check out the image below showcasing all the REQ items that will come with the update along with items that will be available in 2017.
All of these REQ items can be unlocked by just playing Halo 5 or could be purchased. Also, a paid DLC, the Voices of War REQ Pack, will also drop soon that will add commentary from Spartan Buck, 031 Exuberant Witness, and Yabda the Merciless to Arena and Warzone matches. This DLC will be available for $10.
