Nintendo Switch Accessories Listed, Might Use USB Type-C Charging

While the console will launch in March 2017 but this has not stopped EB Games Australia from listing Nintendo Switch accessories.

Nintendo revealed its much rumored and anticipated console, Nintendo Switch, but still not much is known about the console. While the console will launch in March 2017 and Nintendo will reveal further details in January, this has not stopped EB Games Australia from listing Nintendo Switch accessories.

EA Games Australia has listed three Nintendo Switch accessories. These accessories include Starter Pack, Starter Pack Plus accessories and an extra long 3m charging cable.

The listing for Starter Pack and Starter Plus pack mentions a Go Case, two screen protectors, and a cleaning cloth. Starter Plus pack also includes earbuds. The third accessory is the 3m long USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and this indicates if not confirms that Nintendo Switch uses USB-C charging method.

USB Type-C is a relatively newer method for charging and it allows fast-charging compared to previous USB charging methods.

However, Nintendo has not confirmed it so take it as a grain of salt. Nintendo will reveal further details about its console in January during Nintendo Switch Presentation.

Recently, THQ Nordic’s Business & Product Development Director, Reinhard Pollice, revealed that the company has two games in development for Nintendo Switch. He did not go into any specifics so we have no idea what these games could be.

During Nvidia’s recent financial call NVIDIA CEO said that Tegra Processor is much similar to what is found in Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and most PCs. So the developers will be able to port their games to Nintendo Switch quite easily.

He further added that there will be differences in the processors of Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PCs. But here is the catch, as they vary in capabilities or design they share a common architecture.

Nintendo Switch is scheduled to launch in March 2017 but no specific release date or price has been announced for the console.
