Capcom and Marvel have shared an extended trailer for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, confirming another new set of characters.
The gameplay trailer shown during Playstation Experience revealed Ryu, Mega Man X, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man. The extended trailer – attached above – confirms the inclusion of Captain America and Morrigon who first appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Extended Trailer Confirms Captain America and Morrigon
The extended trailer also confirms that Marvel’s Infinity Gems will also play a vital role in the game. The trailer shows Ryu using the Power Gem to gain incredible power and chain lengthy combos. Apart from this, we also see Captain Marvel using the Time Gem to gain evasive moves. Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but I would really love to see Thanos included in the game – with Infinity Gauntlet, of course.
Moreover, it looks like that the assists no longer exist and players are given the freedom of switching partners without any restrictions. It still remains to be seen how this entire thing will play out, but we will make sure to share more information soon.
In addition to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was also confirmed during Playstation Experience. The fighting game is currently available for download on Playstation 4 and will release on Xbox One and Steam in March 2017.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is scheduled to launch on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. As of now, Capcom is targeting late 2017 release window, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
