Everything We Know About Death Stranding

Death Stranding Cast

  • Mads Mikkelsen
  • Guillermo Del Toro
  • Norman Reedus

Del Toro may not have a major role in the game but both Mads and Norman are in the leading roles. Mads Mikkelsen is the lead antagonist while Norman will play the protagonist.

Death Stranding Game Engine

When Hideo Kojima left Konami, he had to leave his technology behind. Fox Engine is Konami’s property and it will stay that way. Kojima needed something new for Death Stranding and he found the right engine at Guerrilla Games.

DECIMA, the Horizon Zero Dawn Engine, is being used for Death Stranding. According to GG, in essence, it is the engine used for all of its games but in the last couple of years in has taken a massive technological leap.

Death Stranding Release Date/Window

Death Stranding is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro sometime in 2018. Kojima spoke at TGS and announced that Death Stranding will be out before 2020. He mentioned that it will be out before the year Akira is set in. Akira is a film that is set in 2019 so by that reasoning, Death Stranding should be released in 2018.
