Mass Effect Andromeda Story Will Feel Complete, Players Will Be Challenged To Be Explorer

Since the reveal of Mass Effect Andromeda, Bioware has been revealing new details about the game. While the fans were very disappointed with the ending of Mass Effect 3, Bioware is making sure that gamers will be satisfied with Mass Effect Andromeda’s ending.

Speaking with GameInformer, Creative director Mac Walters discussed what he wants players to feel about the game’s ending. According to Walters, he wants players to feel that the story has ended and want them to feel satisfied.

At the end of this, we want it to feel like a story has [been] completed. Yes, for the universe, there’s much more you could explore, and we want to tease that, but it feels like its own story. It’s like, ‘Great. I had my Ryder sibling becoming-a-hero story. What’s next? Is it going to be Ryder? Is it going to be something else? Who knows?’

He further added that he wants players to do more than just shoot their way out of the situation. He said that devs want players to be explorers and adventurers.

You have to be able to handle a gun. You have to be able to fight. But we want you to be more than that; we want [you to] be an explorer, an adventurer, someone who’s trained in diplomacy and other things. You’re about to go to a new galaxy, and you have no idea what you’re going to find. We want this small group of people – the Pathfinder and the Pathfinder team – to lead the way.

Mass Effect franchise is known for the diverse alien races with whom players can interact. But not all alien races featured in the previous games will not be making the jump to Mass Effect Andromeda.
