Kojima-san will also be honored at the Game Awards 2016 as an industry icon. Last year, Konami didn’t allow Hideo Kojima to get an award for his own game, The Phantom Pain. He later left Konami and partnered with Sony to work on Death Stranding under his own brand, Kojima Production.
Death Stranding is expected to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro sometime in 2018.
