8 Minutes Of New The Last Guardian Gameplay Shows How Trico And The Boy Became Friends

As the release of The Last Guardian is getting closer developer Team ICO is revealing new details and trailer for the game. This time the developer has released 8 minutes of the new The Last Guardian Gameplay.

This new The Last Guardian gameplay showcases the first eight minutes of the game as the boy wakes up and Trico is in chains in front of him. The boy does not know where he is and how he got here and both are strangers to each other.

The gameplay shows that the boy is trying to make a friend out of Trico and he succeeds in doing so and the boy frees Trico from his chains. Then the gameplay shows both of them venturing deep in the ruins.

Recently, game designer Fumito Ueda revealed that from the start the team wanted to create a game that will be timeless and we have been successful in doing so.

we knew from the very beginning that we wanted to create something that was timeless, something that was going to last a very long time–that was going to hold up for “X” amount of years. I think Sony as a whole understood that from the very beginning.

While Ueda has spent years developing the game, but he won’t be playing it for almost a year after its launch. According to the designer, the reason behind this decision is that he will only see the flaws in his game.

With all my titles – when the game is released, I’m extremely nervous. In the week after the release I don’t want to look at the game. All I’ll see are the flaws. I wouldn’t want to see it with that perspective because I don’t want to think about regrets.

The Last Guardian is an action adventure game in development at Team ICO and will launch on December 6, 2016 for PlayStation 4.
