Ever since rumors began that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t be releasing at the same time as the Nintendo Switch, fans have been trying to find out when it will actually be coming out. Now, it seems that the Breath of the Wild release date has been leaked through Target.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of Nintendo’s most-anticipated console games to play, and with all of the buzz that came out along with the Switch, many people were proposing that the game was going to end up coming out as one of the launch titles for the new console. However, rumors began to slowly trickle out that the game was going to come out after the Switch, owing to localization issues.
However, nowadays it seems the Breath of the Wild release date has been leaked via a Target listing, though Nintendo has yet to corroborate that listing as fact. In the meantime, for now the Target listing shows that the game will be releasing on June 13 of next year.
Considering that the Nintendo Switch is supposed to be releasing in March, that’s a three month gap between when the console releases and when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allegedly comes out. While this could give Nintendo some time to iron out the kinks for the Nintendo Switch, the game might also lose some sales if people are disappointed in it after the delay.
However, it hopefully won’t be all bad; if the game really was delayed for localization purposes, it’s better for it to be delayed so that everything’s all right with it rather than anything going wrong, such as a crippling glitch that would have been fixed if the game hadn’t been rushed out.
Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see if Nintendo confirms Target’s Breath of the Wild release date.
