Naughty Dog made a new post on PlayStation Blog, focusing on Uncharted 4 Survival Mode.
This mode can be played both solo and multiplayer as it supports up to three people simultaneously, and it’s made of 50 rounds with players fighting with Shoreline mercenaries, Snipers, Hunters and more. Every 10 waves culminates in an specific boss battle, featuring Pirate Warlords.
But this mode is not all about shooting. To reach wave 50, players will have to cooperate and complete some tasks like defending areas or collecting treasures within a time limit.
Uncharted 4 Survival Mode has its own progression system. Ranking up will give players new weapon upgrades, items and boosters, encouraging everyone to play as much as possible.
Players can also choose among a certain number of different difficulties and those who complete the Hard Mode will unlock Crushing Mode, the toughest one.
Here you can find a trailer for Uncharted 4 Survival Mode, that will be showed at PlayStation Experience (3 to 4 December), releasing on PS4 and PS4 Pro in mid-December.
By the way, Uncharted 4 will be getting its main DLC story soon and it will be the biggest one ever released by Naughty Dog.
As confirmed by Lets Play Video Games, this story DLC will follow the adventures of Nathan Drake and his brother at a younger age, not involving Nathan’s daughter. This package will be a standalone, not requiring the base game to play, so even those who don’t own Uncharted 4 will be able to enjoy this new chapter.
Naughty Dog is probably thinking about concepts for Uncharted 5, but one thing is for sure: this game will not feature Nathan Drake.
Uncharted 4 is already available for PlayStation 4 and it supports PlayStation 4 Pro enhanced features.
