Fallout 4 VR is being considered by Bethesda and is in early stages of development. During a recent interview, Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirmed that Fallout 4 VR is happening but he did not mention the devices it would release on.
However, it is safe to say that Fallout 4 VR will come to devices such as PlayStation VR, HTC VIVE, and Oculus Rift.
Todd Howard said the following:
That’s the promise of VR, being in a big virtual world. The core experience, meaning you put on the headset and you’re standing in the world of Fallout and can go where you want, just that little bit is every bit as cool as you hope it would be. Once we did that, we were like, ‘OK, we gotta see where this goes’
Bethesda is not concerned about the small size of the VR market, all that concerns the company is creating something unique. Speaking of sales and the size of the VR market, Howard said:
That will all sort itself out. We have an opportunity to make something really unique. We’d rather do that than make some other tiny experience. I don’t think that’s what people want from us.
A Fallout game in VR would definitely interest the fans of the series and can bring in potential new members to the Fallout community. Would you like to see a VR version of Fallout 4? Is that something you would be interested in? Let us know in the comments below.
