Dark Souls 3 update 1.09 is going to be coming soon, and will be releasing either on November 24 or November 25, and will be dedicated to fixing the DLC bugs that came out with Ashes of Ariandel, the first of the game’s two DLC packs, the second of which will be releasing sometime next year.
Ashes of Ariandel brought a lot of new things to the game when it released, adding a new (small) area, two new multi-phase bosses (including one with three different health bars), new enemies, new spells, and new weapons. However, it also brought a great deal of new bugs and glitches for the game, and that’s what Dark Souls 3 update 1.09 is about, fixing all of those problems.
However, not all of the different bugs are dedicated to Ashes of Ariandel and the Painted World that it takes place in. While the patch does address numerous bugs with enemies, ranging from disappearing Millwood Knights to teleporting Birch Women to, it also deals with the PVP “Undead Match” arena in the DLC, where controls broke upon loading and items didn’t replenish after the match.
Outside of the Painted World, the game also fixes problems with the Grand Archives where one of the Twin Princes would teleport out of the arena accidentally, players not being able to get absolved of their sins as long as Siegmeyer remained in Irithyll, and other bugs like it, such as being able to leave the area where you fight the Crystal Sage in the Road of Sacrifices.
Along with all of these other bugs, Dark Souls 3 update 1.09 does, of course, add balance changes and fix other issues.
