Evolution Stones, like the names suggests, help you evolve different types of Pokemon. Meanwhile, certain type of stones also allow you to prevent evolution.

Pokemon Sun and Moon Evolution Stones Locations

There are around 17  evolutions stones in Pokemon Sun and Moon as far as we know, so if we miss any take to the comments to let us know. Here are Pokemon Sun and Moon Evolution Stones Locations:

Oval Stone
Location: The Oval Stone is found near the Pokemon Nursery.
Pokemon Sun and Moon Oval Stone allows Happiny to evolve into Chansey when trained during the day.

Everstone
Location: Face Ilima in his house  to obtain Everstone.
Allows you to prevent a Pokémon from evolving.

Fire Stone
Location: There are two different locations, Akala Island in the Diglett Tunnel, or you can go to Olivia’s shop in Koni-Koni City.
Allows some Fire-Type Pokemon to Evolve. For example, you can evolve Vulpix into Ninetales, Growlithe into Arcanine, Eevee into Flareon, Pansear into Simisear.

Thunder Stone
Location: There are different locations, Akala Island behind the truck in the Dream Park, or you can go to Olivia’s shop in Koni-Koni City.
Allows some Thunder-Type Pokemon to evolve. For example, you can evolve Pikachu into Raichu, Eevee into Jolteon and Eelektrik into Eelektross.

Water Stone
Location: Go to Olivia’s shop in Koni-Koni City.
Allows some Water-Type Pokemon to evolve. For example, you can evolve Poliwhirl into Poliwrath, Shellder into Cloyster, Staryu into Starmie, Eevee into Vaporeon, Lombre into Ludicolo and Panpour into Simipour.

Leaf Stone
Location: Go to Olivia’s shop in Koni-Koni City.
Allows some Grass-Type Pokemon to evolve. For example, you can evolve Gloom into Vileplume, Weepinbell into Victreebel, Exeggcute into Exeggutor, Nuzleaf into Shiftry and Pansage into Simisage.

Eviolite
Location: Look for it on Akala Island near the Pikachu by Koni- Koni City
The stone will boost Defense and Special Defense by 50% when attached to any Pokemon that is able to evolve.

Moss Stone
Location: Found in Lush Jungle
Allows certain type of Pokemon to evolve when they reach a higher level around it.

Moon Stone
Location: Found near the fountain on Route 13 on Ula’ula Island.
Can evolve Nidorina into Nodoqueen, Nidorino into Nidoking, Clefairy into Clefable, Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff, Skitty into Delcatty, Munna into Musharna.

Sun Stone
Location: An NPC who is at Malie Community Center in Ula’ula City has the stone.
Can evolve Gloom, Sunkern and Helioptile. You can evolve Gloom into Bellossom, Sunkern into Sunflora, Cottonee into Whimsicott, Petilil into Lilligant and Helioptile into Heliolisk.

Ice Rock
Location: An NPC at Malie Community Center, Ula’ula City.

When level up around it, Ice Rock turns Eevee into Glaceon.

Ice Stone
Location: On Ula’ula Island, in Po Town.
Evolvea Alolan Vulpix into the Alolan Ice/Fairy Ninetales

Magmarizer
Location: Poni Island inside the Huntail boat at the docks.
Allows you to Magmar to evolve into Magmortar.

Dusk Stone
Location: Go to Flea Market in the Malie Community Center. You can also look on Poni Island, Poni Wild, or underwater.
Allows you to evolve Dark and Ghost-Type Pokémon such as Doublade and Murkrow. Basically you will be able to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow, Misdreavus into Mismagius, Lampent into Chandelure, Doublade into Aegislash.

Dawn Stone
Location: N/A
Helps evolve male Kirlia into Gallade. It is also used to evolve female Snorunt into Froslass.
