Tekken is one of the most popular fighting games in the industry and Tekken 7 is the next entry in the franchise. In nearly all Tekken games Mishima conflict has been the center of the story and Producer Katsuhiro Harada has revealed that a lot of mysteries will be explained about this conflict.
Speaking with PlayStationLifeStyle, Harada discussed a lot of thing about the Tekken 7. When asked about what is next for the Mishima storyline in the upcoming game? To this, he answered that the game’s plot will delve into the mysteries that were left unsolved.
The main storyline portrays the showdown between Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima. Not only that, but we delve into why the father and son began their quarrel in the first place. A lot of the mysteries that were left unanswered will be explained.
He also added that Akuma is also a part of the Mashima conflict, and he won’t be a guest character in the game.
Harada: Akuma actually is part of the Mishima storyline in some way. I would also hesitate to call him a “guest character” because he is hardly a guest. He is a formidable foe.
Since the idea of Cross Network Play has been introduced, many gamers are asking developers to introduce it to the games. Naturally, Tekken fans also asked the devs to incorporate this feature into Tekken 7 but Bandai Namco has clarified that it will not happen.
According to Katsuhiro Harada, Cross Network Play will never be featured in Tekken 7 but this decision was not made due to technical limitations instead it’s because PC players are known for cheating.
While no official release date has been announced for Tekken 7, but it is expected to release in early 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
