This War of Mine is a war survival video game developed and published by 11 bit studios. The game took inspiration by the 1992–96 Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, and it’s quite different from the war-themed games that you can find nowadays. This War of Mine, in fact, focuses on the civilian experience of war, showing different aspects of going through this kind of situation. This War of Mine was released for Windows PCs, OS X, and Linux in November 2014. This game was eventually ported to Android, iOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
When this game was released, a lot of people were sceptical about it, because they thought it was just another indie game from random developers. But at the end of the day they were wrong, as This War of Mine managed to earn its development budget in just two days from its release. 11 Bit Studios claimed that players located in 92 countries bought the game and 33% of the game’s total sales came from the United States.
11 Bit Studios also revealed in a press release that average age of the players who bought This War of Mine is between 24 to 34 years old.
As we already said, you can try this game on multiple platforms as This War of Mine is available for Android, iOS, consoles and Windows PC.
