Uncharted 4 Graphics Comparison Video Shows Differences In Quality
A new Uncharted 4 graphics comparison video has shown off the various differences in graphical quality between the 4K version that will be available on the Playstation 4 Pro, and the 1080p version that came out on the regular Playstation 4 earlier this year. With the video, you’ll be able to see how much better the game looks on the Pro.
The Playstation 4 Pro was announced back in September at the Playstation Meeting, and along with the Playstation 4 Slim was supposed to have increased graphical quality. While Uncharted 4 already looked amazing even at 1080p definition, Playstation fans that are planning to buy a Playstation 4 Pro can expect it to look even better when it comes to the upgraded console.
The Uncharted 4 graphics comparison video is a lengthy eleven-minute watch, but the presenter in it goes into a good bit of detail about everything that’s been changed and upgraded in Uncharted 4 as a result of the port over to the Playstation 4 Pro.
For one thing, you can see the difference right in the opening cutscene. The water droplets that are scattering against the windshield of the boat Nate is driving in the prologue actually look much more detailed and distinct, and the spray of the boat throwing up water also looks much more distinct.
In the savannah section of the game, you can also better see how the lighting works with the HDR that will be added to the Playstation 4 Pro version of the game, as it looks more like the sun is shining off of various surfaces like the leaves of trees instead of serving as a bright color palette over everything. The shadows in the same section also look better.
