Blizzard keeps supporting its main games as Overwatch Sombra has finally been confirmed, featuring more interesting stuff.
There’s been a lot of talk about Sombra during these months. Many people has been claiming this character was about to join Overwatch’s roster even if no words came from Blizzard (probably trying to keep everything secret). But, you know, it’s hard to keep a secret even for Blizzard. In fact, some clues were given on the Xbox Market, in a pic regarding Halloween content for Overwatch. In that pic you could find a strange logo, and it seems it was Sombra’s logo.
Now everything is clear.
During BlizzCon 2016, Blizzard showcased a short trailer that basically announced Sombra itself.
At this moment, it is not known when Overwatch Sombra is going to join the game, but we think it will happen soon.
But there’s more. In addition to Sombra’s confirm, two new maps have been officially announced. The first one is called Antarctica, joining the PTR next week. The other one is called Oasis, and it has been made for a new mode coming to the game.
However, Overwatch has always been linked to eSports and competitive play.
Because of that, people started asking for official Overwatch eSports League, but nothing has been made until this moment. Anyhow, Blizzard seems to be interested in developing this franchise as CEO Bobby Kotick told they are going to make an official Overwatch eSports League.
Of course it will require time to make something like that. So, for now, it’s better keep playing Overwatch’s competitive matches.
Waiting for more news regarding this game, Overwatch is already out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs.
