When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was revealed, the reveal video was so disliked, that it became one of the most disliked videos on Youtube. That somewhat made it clear that the game is going to suck and not liked by many.
However, reviews of the game are telling a different story so far. Most of the reviews have been good and that my friends, have become a typical story of a Call of Duty Game these days.
So judging by reviews, the game is a worthy installment. However, PC version (at the time of writing) only has 5k players playing after the game’s unlock. Call of Duty on PC has been neglected for some time now and it seems like that it’s not improving.
Users have reported that there are even some issues that have been plaguing the series on PC for a long time now. These issues are needed to be addressed by the developer if they want the PC player-base to stick.
In the meanwhile, we have shortlisted the common problems being faced by Infinite Warfare on PC and there possible fixes.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Errors, Crashes, Bugs and Fixes
#1 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Performance Issues
If you are a long time call of duty player then you must know that updated drivers are crucial for optimum performance. Like always, Nvidia and AMD are releasing latest drivers optimized for specific AAA titles so you should download them first if you are facing any performance issues.
If you are using a laptop, you should make sure that your laptop is plugged in and the game is being run by using the dedicated GPU. Also, it goes without saying that if your system is not good enough, you are not going to get optimal performance so you better check the system requirements for the game too.
#2 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Low FPS Fix
If you are having FPS issues in singleplayer, try lowering your graphics settings as singleplayer campaigns usually have more graphical elements than multiplayer. Make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of drivers for your GPU. Also, if the refresh rate of your screen is different than that of your game, change it to match each other.
#3 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Mouse Acceleration Issue
Some users have reported that mouse acceleration is acting weird and the movement speed of mouse to differ from left frame to right.
As a probable workaround, you could try disabling overlay tools running in the background. If that doesn’t work, and you are using a branded gaming mouse, try installing it’s software and drivers.
If nothing works, you should probably wait for a patch as multiple users reported the same issue and it might get patched soon by Infinity Ward.
#4 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Campaign Not Loading Fix
There are a couple of things you can try to resolve this issue:
First, if you are using any antivirus/security tool, make sure that the game is not being blocked by it. AVG seems to have causing some issues so If you are using it, disable it and then try launching the game.
If that doesn’t work, you should try running the game in windowed mode.
#5 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare SLI/Crossfire Performance
If you are unable to get stable FPS with SLI/Crossfire enabled, for the time being, you should try using the single card as all SLI/Crossfire configurations aren’t that friendly with Infinite Warfare just like some other PC games.
I am hopeful that the issue will be addressed in near future.
#6 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Cutscene Bug for Every Public Game
There have been some reports about cutscene playing everytime players try to enter a public match. Although game does give an option to skip but somehow for some players, it’s not working. As a quick workaround, try verifying your game files and restart you game. If the issue persists (and for multiple players), we might see it fixed with a patch.
#7 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Sound Issue
If your sound mode is set to anything else than Stereo, change it as it seems to have resolve the no sound issue for some. Also, make sure that the correct audio device is selected if you have multiple of them.
#8 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Random Crash Fix
If your game is crashing just after launch or randomly, you should either disable your antivirus or add an exception for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. If there are any pending Windows updates, make sure to download and install them.
#9 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Black Screen Issue
First thing you should do is try running the game in windowed mode. If that works, you should change the refresh rate of the game to that of your screen. To be on safe side, keep it to 60hz.
#10 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Config, Controls Fix
If none of your setting is working properly, you should delete your config file and verify your game files. This should fix the issue.
