A new Mass Effect Andromeda trailer has been released by Electronic Arts and Bioware.
This Mass Effect Andromeda trailer invites players to join the Initiative, the last chance for mankind to survive. Said video is available down here.
This game is going to be released for consoles and PC, but it seems Nintendo Switch won’t be one of these platforms. During a recent talk on Twitter, a fan asked Michael Gamble if Nintendo Switch will ever support Mass Effect Andromeda, Gamble stated that PS4, Xbox One and PC are the only platforms this game will be released for. Moreover, nothing can be said about the future of this game.
However, the Mass Effect franchise is a really famous one and, as fans has been demanding remasters for years, it would be easy for EA to work on previous games to make money. Anyway, it seems this is not what EA has in mind, since Peter Moore claimed there’s no interest, nor the possibility, to work on Mass Effect remasters right now. EA is focused on the future.
Do we have teams lying around and doing nothing right now that can work on remasters editions for Mass Effect? No, we don’t. We want to focus on the future of this franchise, as our aim is to give the players new experiences and games to have fun with. It’s extremely easy to make money in the industry right now, but the real focus should be on providing good products and making good games for our fans and that’s what we want to do.
Mass Effect Andromeda is scheduled to release within 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs.
