Nintendo’s Super Mario Run is going to be released in few months, but Nintendo is already focused to make a success out of this game. The ultimate aim is to make Super Mario Run popularity grow, following Pokémon GO’s path.
It won’t be easy to make Super Mario Run as popular as Pokémon GO, but Nintendo is not going to give up, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima says.
In terms of expectations, we all saw what happened when Pokémon Go came out. Everyone was surprised with the result. There’s no doubt that more people are using smartphones to play games nowadays and this could be a good thing for Super Mario Run as it’s a very important intellectual property for us. We want to be sure it spreads out just as quickly as Pokémon Go.
Besides Super Mario Run popularity, it seems a lot of people are interested in this game even if it’s not available yet.
Apple’s Tim Cooks recently went to Japan and, during an interview with BuzzFeed Japan, he said more than 20 million of people are waiting for Super Mario Run to get released, as reported by Serkan Toto on Twitter.

Of course it will require a lot of effort, work and luck to make Super Mario Run grow as a worldwide success, but Nintendo knows how the industry works and we’ll probably be amazed by the result when this game comes out.
Nintendo’s Super Mario Run is scheduled to release in December, 2016 for iOS. Reaching Android soon.
