Titanfall 2 Maps and DLC is going to be free for those who buy the standard $60 version. The game is just hours away from release and such news will surely encourage more consumers to grab a copy of EA’s next.
Respawn Entertainment confirmed the news by saying that they will not be offering a season pass for Titanfall 2 users. They do not want to split the community with a Season Pass so all of the content they offer in the future will be available via free updates.
No Season Pass required: all maps & modes will be free in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer. This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall.
This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.
Ever since season passes become a thing, this is probably the first time EA released a shooter that will not come with a season pass.
The first game didn’t do so well but did enough to earn a sequel. It came with a season pass which split the already shrinking community. EA did the right thing to not do the same with Titanfall 2.
These are exciting times for EA fans, Battlefield 1 came out last week and now Titanfall 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
