Although Titanfall was a solid shooter, it lost the player-base pretty quickly as it was a Microsoft exclusive and there was no singleplayer. However, Titanfall 2 is overcoming these shortcomings and looking to do better than the predecessor.
The game just got released on PC along with other platforms and as expected from Respawn, it’s a pretty solid port (technically). However, there are a few issues being faced by the users. These issues aren’t necessarily game’s fault and could very well be your own hardware or software.
In any case, if you are facing any issue, following is a troubleshooting list that could help you to resolve the issues you are facing.
Titanfall 2 Errors, Crashes, Bug and Fixes
#1 Titanfall 2 Crash – Failed to load the launcher DDL
If you are getting this error, you should try to repair your game files first. If that doesn’t work, here is a long list of workarounds you could try. I am sure that one of these would work for you. Be warned though, it’s recommended that you don’t download the .dll file directly from the internet as it might compromise your PC.
#2 Titanfall 2 Connection/Server Issues, Can’t Connect
There are a few things you could try to resolve the connectivity issues.
- Make sure that your firewall/security tool isn’t blocking the game’s connection. You can always add an exception for Titanfall 2.
- If you are behind a router, the ports used by the game should be open. In case of Titanfall 2, you can try opening these ports for the respective platform.
- It can be very well the case that Servers are down for maintenance so make sure that you keep an eye on the official twitter account for latest updates.
- If you are using any VPN, disable all those network adapters. In fact, it’s recommended that you disable all the network adapters except for the one you are using for Internet.
- Try running the game as admin.
#3 Titanfall 2 – No Data Centers Showing Up
You can try the fixes mentioned in #2 to resolve the issue as it’s related to connectivity problems. Also, if you are using a wireless connection, try using a wired connection as many connectivity issues seem to have resolved by it.
#4 Titanfall 2 – AMD GPU Issues
Some users have reported that they are experiencing resolution and performance issues using AMD cards. If that’s the case for you, you should make sure that your drivers are up to date as they are crucial for Titanfall 2’s stable performance.
#5 Titanfall 2 – Network Invited Games Issue
If you are being pushed back by the game to the lobby everytime you try to jump in during the game, you should know that it’s an intended feature of the game and not a bug.
#6 Titanfall 2 High Latency/Ping Fix
There are a few things you could try to get a better ping. First, you should choose the best datacenter for your region. If you have tried that and still getting high latency, make sure that you are not connected to your router via Wifi. Wifis sometimes cause high pings/latency. Use a wired connection.
Make sure that your game is not being blocked by any firewall/antivirus tool. Sometimes, a quick restart of the router also fixes things so it’s worth of a try too.
#7 Titanfall 2 Full Screen Issue
You should press Alt+Enter to get to the full screen. If that’s not working, go to game’s settings and select the full screen option.
#8 Titanfall 2 Crashes at High/Insane Settings
Titanfall is graphics intensive game so if your hardware is not capable enough, you might face crashes. It’s primarily due to insufficient VRAM. So at higher settings, if you are facing crashes, it’s recommended that you try lowering the graphics settings a bit.

As mentioned before, if your GPU does not have sufficient memory, you might experience this error. So the first thing you should do is try to lower your graphics settings. Many users have reported that lowering the setting fixed the issue for them.

You should try disabling the Sync graphics option from the settings as it sometimes caps the FPS if your hardware is not good enough.
