Now that we’re into the second half of October, it’s about time for all the spooky Halloween fun to start up. A number of other games have created Halloween events for themselves, and now Psyonix has announced a Rocket League Halloween event for its own game. The mode will be available until November 1.
The Rocket League Halloween event comes only a few weeks after the game released its latest free arena, the Aqua Dome, and two cars that players could purchase. The Halloween event will be coming with a variety of exclusive items, including a number of exclusive antennae for your cars, engine trails (including a green one that leaves skulls and bones in your wake), and toppers for the tops of your cars such as the Bone King and the Ghost.
If you missed the Rocket League Halloween event from last year, you’ll also have the opportunity to get the content that you missed last year as well. All of these new attachments will be available for free from next week to November 1.
And thanks to Rocket League’s cross-platform play with the Xbox One and PC, and the possibility of Xbox One and Playstation 4 cross-platform play, players on any of the compatible platforms might be able to show off their various Halloween-themed items to their friends.
Whether the rest of the arenas will also get a spooky makeover for the Rocket League Halloween event, however, remains to be seen. Considering how cavalier that Psyonix has been about making more and more improvements to the game and porting it over to other platforms, it probably wouldn’t take too much work, but we’ll just have to see.
The Rocket League Halloween event will be starting on Monday of next week, and will go until November 1, on Tuesday of next week. So, happy spooking!
