This is gonna be remembered as the year of the multiple delays. A lot of games didn’t make it to the launch day due to the team needing more time, problems occurred during the development and similar things. Anyway, today it’s Ubisoft turn, as Watch Dogs 2 PC version has been delayed to November 29, 2016.
“Our team aim is to make the best Watch Dogs game possible in terms of quality. To do that, we have made the hard but necessary decision to delay the launch date for the PC version of this game to November 29, 2016. With this extra time, we’ll be able to ensure that Watch Dogs 2 runs without problems on many different hardwares. Morover, the game will be polished in a general way.”
However, talking about Watch Dogs on console, this game probably might not support PlayStation 4 Pro enhanced features at launch.
During a recent interview with HipHopGamer, Ubisoft’s Jonathan Morin has talked about this question and he stated that team is currently focused on launching the game.
“At the moment we are talking, the team is focued on launching the game on console and PC. We still have a lot of interest in porting this game to other platforms and stuff like that, but there is nothing concrete right now. We’ll see in the future, but for now Watch Dogs is going to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.”
Of course Morin didn’t expressly deny the possibility of Watch Dogs 2 supporting PS4 Pro at launch, so there is still hope for it.
Maybe we’ll hear something more in the next weeks or right after the official release of the game.
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 is scheduled to release on November 15, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while Watch Dogs 2 PC version will launch on the 29th of November.
