Ever since Sony revealed its PlayStation 4 Pro, many developers have announced that their upcoming games will be coming to the console. However, not all developers are on board with the idea of bringing their games to PlayStation 4 Pro, and apparently Ubiosft is among those developers as Watch Dogs 2 might not be available for PlayStation 4 Pro at launch.
Speaking with HipHopGamer, Ubisoft’s Jonathan Morin said that the team is currently focusing on the launch of Watch Dogs 2 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and they are looking into other opportunities to bring their games to new platforms but they have nothing to announce for now.
Right now we’re focusing on November 15 with PS4 and Xbox and PC. As far as the other opportunities, we still have to look into those. We have nothing to announce on that right now. And I am sure plenty of other programmers are looking into these opportunities, but for us, for now, it’s PC, and Xbox One, and PS4.
Now, Jonathan Morin has not straight up denied the PlayStation 4 Pro support for Watch Dogs 2, so there is still a chance that Ubisoft would be bringing its game to the upgraded console with enhanced graphics and more.
However, Watch Dogs 2 was shown off during PlayStation Meeting to be running on PlayStation 4 Pro, so it seems that Ubisoft has not completely discarded the idea of the game to be available on the console.
Watch Dogs 2 is an open world game, and like many others out there this game will also feature side quests. However, there is a twist, as in most open world games the side quests are separate from the main story. But in the case of Watch Dogs 2, side quests in the game will be connected to the main story.
Watch Dogs in scheduled to launch on November 15, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
