Senran Kagura creator and producer Kenichiro Takaki has recently been interviewed by Dualshockers. During the talk Takaki has also discussed about Senran Kagura reaching Nintendo NX.
I’m very interested in Nintendo NX and I’d really love to eventually work on that console. When we started discussing with Nintendo about bringing Senran Kagura to NX, there weren’t actual restrictions, or anything that they actually told me not to do, but I did feel the pressure from them. Anyway after hours of discussions we’ve came to terms. With the first game Nintendo wasn’t so sure, because they didn’t really know the gameplay, and they only saw the sexy side of this project. However, after they saw what the actual gameplay was like, they didn’t have any problem because they knew what the key point of the game was. For Senran Kagura 2 it wasn’t so hard
However, Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash is going to be PlayStation 4 exclusive and Takaki explained the reason behind this choice.
He claimed that Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash will be released on PS4 only because this is his favourite console and it can display high quality graphics, allowing the developers to work better.
After that, he stated that this game will have PS VR support too. Moreover this game could eventually be released on Steam too, allowing PC players to finally enjoy this title.
Also we talked about a special edition of Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash, you can find more details here.
Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash is going to release on March 16, 2017 in Japan, for PlayStation 4 only.
