Norman Reedus: In Death Stranding Players Will Not Be Playing Me, But Will Be Me

In an interview, Norman Reedus revealed his role in the upcoming Death Stranding. According to the actor, players will not be playing him but will be him.

Death Stranding is the upcoming game by the legendary developer, Hideo Kojima, and fans are very excited because there are some big names attached with the project, like Norman Reedus. Norman Reedus’ character will play a major part in the game, but we still don’t have any idea what part will it be.

However, during an interview with MTV during Comic-Con, Norman Reedus revealed his role in the upcoming Death Stranding. According to the actor, players will not be playing him but will be him.

[Hideo Kojima], he’s such a genius,’ Reedus said. ‘I’m just doing whatever he says. He says, ‘we will make people cry,’ and I say, ‘for a video game?’ And he says, ‘yup.’ And I’m just, ‘alright.’ And I ask him, ‘playing me?’ And he says, ‘no, they’ll be you.’ And I’m just, I’m just doing whatever he says.

Now the statement is just as interesting as it is confusing, as it makes playing as Reedus and Being Reedus in the game two different things. Hopefully it will be cleared once we will get to play the game.

While rumors were circulating on the internet before the game’s reveal, and even after the game’s reveal rumors keep coming in. A latest rumor that has made its way to the internet suggests Death Stranding will be using the same game engine as the InFamous: Second Son’s.

According to the leak, Hideo Kojima will be using Sucker Punch’s game engine used for their 2014 PlayStation 4 exclusive game, inFamous: Second Son, to develop Death Stranding. It kind of makes sense, as this game engine itself is a technical marvel, as it is capable of rendering a vibrant and dense open world for an action game.

No release date has been announced for Death Stranding, but Hideo kojima has hinted that the game will launch in 2018 for PC and PlayStation 4.
