As expected, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in development.
The confirmation comes from Beyond Good & Evil official Facebook page along with a concept art which was shared earlier on the Instagram of series creator Michel Ancel.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 Officially Announced
Here is what the announcement on the game’s Facebook page reads:
If you’ve been waiting for news about BG&E… Well here you go! We are delighted to confirm that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was originally confirmed back in 2008, but we did not get to hear a whole deal about it. For the past few weeks, however, Michel Ancel kept on teasing fans with a variety of concept art and also hinted that a new Beyond Good & Evil game was in pre-production:
Endangered species now saved. Game in pre-production. Stay tuned!
Sure it is not the first time Ubisoft has spoken about the game, but at least it is a relief to see that the project is not scrapped. However, do keep in mind that Ancel is also working on Wild at the same time.
Going in line with Beyond Good & Evil 2 announcement, Ubisoft confirmed yesterday that the original cult-classic Beyond Good & Evil is going to be free on PC, starting Oct. 12, 2016 as a part of the company’s Ubi 30 initiative. To find out more, head over to the post!
