The new Call of Duty Black Ops 3 patch 1.17 has now gone live for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, bringing in a number of adjustments from the folks at Treyarch. The patch’s adjustments mainly focused on improving multiplayer stability, fixing glitches, and getting rid of a number of different exploits in other game modes.
Most of the patch notes are only focused on the Playstation 4 as well, so the game seems to need less work on the Xbox One. The Playstation 4 fixes include adjustments to four different maps (Citadel, Rupture, Miniature, and Outlaw) and a number of progression issues, map bugs, exploits, and freezes in various maps, including those maps in the Revelations map pack.
In addition to all of the map fixes on Revelations, the Playstation 4 version of the Rift E9 weapon has also gotten an adjustment, fixing the gun so that it now does proper damage to the Margwa enemy, a three-headed tentacle monster that makes numerous appearances in various multiplayer zombie maps.
Black Ops 3 patch 1.17 also helped to fix a small number of issues in other Zombies maps, including Zetsubou No Shima (the map with zombie Imperial Japanese soldiers) and a bug where the giant spider enemies wouldn’t spawn naturally during play like they were supposed to, and Gorod Krovi (the alternate history Stalingrad with cyborg zombie soldiers and a dragon) having an issue where players would lose their equipped weapons after being revived.
They can also stop worrying about the Gunsmith screwing them over, as Black Ops 3 patch 1.17 has also fixed the Gunsmith to prevent it from switching attachments back to their default state after a match has been played, which, while not game-breaking was almost certainly annoying to deal with.
Now that the patch is live, Playstation 4 and Xbox One players can start playing their multiplayer matches again, whether against human opponents or zombies.
