Despite of the ongoing console wars and the creation of different gaming communities such as PC, Xbox and PlayStation communities, it is important for gamers and developers alike to be passionate about games irrespective of their preferred platform. Neil Druckmann, creative director for Uncharted 4, has proven this point when PC and Xbox exclusive, Quantum Break, released. However, he is also doing this with Gears Of War 4, as he just posted a picture on his official Twitter account, in which he not only showed that he own a Xbox One S but also he is playing Gears Of War 4. He also thanked Rod Fergusson for the game.
Microsoft announced Xbox One Scorpio during its E3 presentation, which is capable of running games at native 4K and will also support all Xbox One and Xbox One S games. Gears Of War 4 will also be available for this upgraded console, but will not require any patch for it.
According to Chuck Osieja, Creative Director at The Coalition, the game will not require any patch to run on Xbox One Scorpio smoothly, as the game is designed to be scaleable across multiple Xbox platforms and different PCs.
Also, The Coalition’s studio head, Rod Fergusson, recently announced that Gears Of War 4 will be receiving a day one patch, but only for the physical version of the game, and will be 11 GB in size.
Gears Of War 4 is scheduled to launch on October 11, 2016 exclusively for PC and Xbox One, however, those who pre-order the game will get early access on October 7.
