While day one patches for games has become a norm for the game industry, sometimes these day one patches are quite big in size, to fix glitches and performance issues that might make the game less enjoyable. Many are speculating that Respawn will take this time to ready a day one patch for Titanfall 2.

However, that is not the case, as producer Drew McCoy confirmed through the Titanfall sub-reddit, that Titanfall 2 will not be getting a 10 GB day one patch, as the developers have put in a tons of time to make sure that it does not.
No game ever ships without tons of people putting in insane amounts of time and effort towards the end. Lots of people have already had some time “on call” (not in the office, but need to be able to come in and fix any show-stopper bugs if needed), but there’s a bunch of us that have been cranking nonstop to get the game on disc. End in sight, though! Prep for launch day is looking good, that tech test really helped get our backend services ready. No 10GB day one patch here 🙂
Recently, Respawn Entertainment revealed the Coliseum mode for Titanfall 2, whcih lets players go head to head in 1v1 matches.
