Possible Beyond Good and Evil 2 Art Shared by Ubisoft Following Rumors of NX Exclusivity
Beyond Good and Evil 2 may finally be happening!
It has been 13 years since we played Beyond Good and Evil on PlayStation 2 and other platforms. The second game has been in development hell for a long time but Ubisoft never outright canceled the game even though fans have lost all hope.
Rumors of the project being revived and funded by Nintendo for Nintendo NX have been around for a while now. Ubisoft nor Nintendo have shared a comment so it’s been quite on the official front for a long time.
However, suddenly out of the blue, Beyond Good and Evil creator Michel Ancel has shared an art on his official Instagram account that looks to be from Beyond Good and Evil 2.
There is no caption or hashtag used with the image; it is a complete mystery but it has sparked speculations once again.
The little porky character, Pey’J, is from the first game but he is shown as an infant. Pey’J is the adopted uncle of Jade from the first game.
The male character with Pey’J looks like a new character and it is possible that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel to the original title.
The game is allegedly funded by Nintendo and will release for Nintendo NX. There have been rumors of a soon to be held Nintendo Direct where the company will discuss its next-gen gaming platform. Of course, many games are expected to be shown during the event as well.
Could one of them be Beyond Good and Evil?
We’ll have to wait and see.
Do you think Beyond Good and Evil should be exclusive to NX?
