Nine Battlefield 1 Multiplayer Maps At Launch With Six Game Modes

Battlefield 1 is just one month away from its launch, and hype for the game is increasing with every passing week. DICE has been revealing new details about the game over the past few weeks and this week is not different.

DICE has announced that Battlefield 1 will launch with nine multiplayer maps, which is on par with previous Battlefield games. These Battlefield 1 multiplayer maps include Ballroom Blitz, taking place in a chateau in France, Argonne Forest,  which is set near the same valley in Chatel Chéhéry and Fao Fortress, a fortress set in Ottoman.

Other multiplayer maps included are Suez, The St. Quentin Scar, Sinai Desert, Amiens, Monte Grappa and Empire’s Edge. Giant’s Shadow multiplayer map will be included to the game in December for free.

Also DICE has announced that there will be six multiplayer modes available at launch. These modes include Conquest, Rush, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Operations and War Pigeons. Operations and War Pigeons are the new modes included to the game.

Operations is a multiplayer mode which spans over multiple maps, and the result of the match is decided based on the overall rather than individual maps. War Pigeons will let players try to capture a pigeon coop, or escorting it out in the open and calling in artillery to strike your foes.

Battlefield 1 is set in World War 1, however, DICE has announced that not everything will be authentic, as they are taking some creative liberties for that era. According to DICE’s Robert Sammelin, Battlefield 1 is first and foremost a game designed for the enjoyment of players. He also said that DICE has done its best to remain true to the World War 1 without compromising on the fun part.

Battlefield 1 is set to launch on October 21, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
