Rise of Iron Leveling Guide
One of the first things that you need to do is to complete everything that you come across and grab every Green/Blue item which should increase your Light Level by a small margin. If you, however, do not have any available missions, you need to go with a Strike Playlist.
The reason for this is that you should be able to receive a number of decent items to boost your Light Level. Another way of acquire high Light Level gear is to complete Faction-related activities. Therefore, make a habit of tracking Vanguard/Crucible activities and complete them whenever you get the chance.
When it comes to completing these activities or other missions, try to consume a Three of Coins. What this basically does is that it provides you with a small chance of acquiring an Exotic Engram which can be decrypted at a high Light Level.
Lastly, you need to make sure that decrypt these Engrams at high Light Level in order to get the most out of scaling.
