Hideo Kojima on Metal Gear Survive: “Where Does Zombies Fit in?”

Hideo Kojima has finally spoken about the upcoming Metal Gears game, Metal Gear Survive. Says if it not have Metal Gear then he has nothing to do with it.

Konami is developing another Metal Gear Game and many long time fans of the franchise are disappointed with what the company is doing with the franchise.

While gamers are criticizing Metal Gear Survive ever since its reveal, series creator Hideo Kojima has now finally come forward and told what he feels about the game.

During a recent audience Q&A, the legendary developer Hideo Kojima was asked if rumors about the idea of Metal Gear Survive being his are true.

To this, the developer responded that he has nothing to do with it and further added that this game has nothing in common with the franchise.

It has nothing to do [with me]. I know absolutely nothing about it. That’s because it’s totally unrelated to me, right? Um, how should I put this? Well, for me, Metal [Gear] is espionage with political fiction. Right? So, because of that, there’s no reason that zombies would show up. This is how I see it, you know?

Also Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima’s long-time Metal Gear collaborator, chimed that he also has nothing to do with it, and said that “If it was me, there’d naturally be a bipedal weapon in it”.

Both Kojima and Shinkawa agreed that if there is no Metal Gear in a Metal Gear game, then they have nothing to do with it.

Recently, Konami released the first gameplay footage for the upcoming Metal Gear Survive. The company is still trying to keep a positive image among the community and the latest attempt is not helping them much.

Every inch of the gameplay footage is filled with reused assets from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Its character models, enemy movement animations, and map, all can be found inside The Phantom Pain.

Metal Gear Survive is a co-op survival action game and it will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
