During Sony’s recent event, the studio announced a new and more powerful Playstation 4 called PS4 Pro. During the announcement, Sony confirmed that many already available games will take advantage of PS4 Pro and showcase a higher visual quality.
Among the already available games, Sony showcased Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, etc. In addition to this, the studio also confirmed that more games would become a part of PS4 Pro library as the time progresses.
However, Bungie has confirmed that the studio has no plans for Destiny on PS4 Pro. Speaking with AOTF, Bungie’s Executive Producer Scott Taylor said that the studio currently has no plans to provide any support for PS4 Pro. Taylor said that the studio might look into it later down the road, but that may not happen until Destiny 2.
We currently have zero details on Destiny 2 or whatever it will be called. We, however, do know that Destiny’s final expansion called Destiny: Rise of Iron is scheduled to release on Sept. 20, 2016 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
PS4 Pro is scheduled to become available on Nov. 10, 2016 for $399 USD. Sony has also announced Playstation 4 Slim – which is going to be standard PS4 from now on – that is schedule to release tomorrow for $299 USD.
