Thierry Henry is an Ex-France and Arsenal football star hitting the courts of NBA with a playable role in NBA 2K17. Thierry Henry will be available in NBA 2K17’s Blacktop mode, this is the mode in which players can play as different types of Basketball players and test their skills.
Being a basketball and NBA fan since I was a kid, I’m honoured to be the first football player ever to be playable in NBA 2K17. Seeing myself go toe to toe with the legends of the sport is an amazing feeling.
Also 2K Games has announced that NBA 2K17 will feature HDR but it would be added with a day-one update for PS4. For those who don’t know, is a feature that allows displays to show a wider and richer range of colors. This results in a more dynamic and realistic image quality on-screen.
Recently, 2K’s motion to dismiss damages from the lawsuit was granted by the court, which might have cost the company a lot of money for using copyright material in NBA 2K16.
The lawsuit was filed by a tattoo designer Solid Oak Sketches,who claimed that 2K used his eight of his/her designs in NBA 2K16. The designer filed to secure statutory damages of $150,000 per infringement.
The district judge granted the 2K’s motion to dismiss damages based on the timing of the design copyright. According to the motion, the first time the design used by 2K was in 2013 for NBA 2K14, and the designs were copyrighted in 2015.
NBA 2K17 is a basketball simulation game in development at Visual Concept and is scheduled to release on September 20, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows.
