We already know that Ryder is the main protagonist of the Mass Effect Andromeda, but will it be male or female will depend upon player’s choice. Speaking with PlayStation Access, creative director Mac Walters confirmed that both Ryders exist in the game’story as brother and sister.

He did not provide any further details regarding whether or not these characters will run into each other at some point in the story or they are just exist out there some where. We will know for sure when Bioware releases the game.

There is no doubt that Mass Effect is an popular franchise and with Mass Effect Andromeda releasing next year many gamers are asking EA about the remastered versions of the original games. According to EA executive Peter Moore, the company is focused on the future of the game industry and they have talented devs studios around the world who can deliver new IPs and experiences.

He further explained that they have no development team idle enough to work of Mass Effect remasters. He also said Mass Effect remasters are easy money, but their priority is delivering new experiences for the players

Do we have teams lying around that are doing nothing right now that [can work on remasters]? No we don’t. We want to focus on the future and delivering new IP and new experiences. There’s easy money to be made all over this industry. But the real focus should be on being player-first and focused on delivering new IP and new experiences and that’s where our real focus is.

Mass Effect Andromeda is an open world Sci-Fi RPG in development at Bioware for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
