Playstation 4 Slim Release Date, Price Announced Officially

The Playstation Meeting is finally underway, and first off has been the Playstation 4 Slim release date. The console, which is slimmer and lighter than regular Playstation 4 consoles, will be coming out on September 15, and will be costing 299, as opposed to the regular Playstation 4’s 350 dollar price tag.

The Playstation 4 Slim had been known (or at least heavily suspected) to be coming sometime this year after a number of leaks that reportedly showed off a number of different pictures of the console. Now, at the Playstation Meeting (being held in New York right now), Playstation has finally given us a Playstation 4 Slim release date, along with a price across all of its release regions.

The Playstation 4 Slim release date was also heavily implied to be a short time after the console would be announced, and the announcement for the console didn’t disappoint, especially since it’s fairly hot on the heels of the Xbox One S, Microsoft’s own Slim version of its current console, the Xbox One.

And it’s likely that next, Playstation will also be bringing up the price and release date for the Playstation 4 Neo, the premium 4K resolution console that will be coming out alongside the Playstation 4 Slim.
