New PlayStation Camera, Headset Announced for PS4 Pro and PSVR

Sony’s Andrew House took to stage earlier to announce a brand new PlayStation 4 model, the PS4 Pro. The new model means we are getting new accessories as well. We already know about the new Dualshock 4 controller. However, we now have a brand new PlayStation Camera as well.

The PlayStation Camera is a redesign of the original that released alongside PlayStation 4. PlayStation Camera CUH-ZEY2 has all the features offered by its predecessor and comes with PlayStation VR support as well. We will see Sony bundling this product with PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR.

Moving on, Sony also confirmed PlayStation Platinum Wireless Headset. Those looking to upgrade their Silver or Gold Wireless headsets should definitely consider this. PlayStation Platinum Wireless Headset comes with 7.1 virtual surround sound with positional audio powered by SIE 3D audio tech.

Users can also experience 3D Audio in PlayStation games that support this feature. The platinum wireless headset also comes with a noise-cancellation microphone and a 3.5mm audio cable. You will be able to connect this device with your mobile phone or tablet via the jack.

Meanwhile, PC users can experience wireless 7.1 surround sound in games as well. However, the 3D audio feature will not work on PC games. The headset will retail for $159 in the United States, a very enticing option indeed compared to much more expensive headset supporting the same features.

PS4 Pro will release on November 10 while the Platinum Wireless Headset is slated for sometime this Fall.
