The Coalition and Microsoft brought new Gears of War 4 gameplay footage from the newly announced Multiplayer Mode called Arms Race at PAX West 2016.
Arms Race is a 5 vs 5 multiplayer match in which everyone starts off with the same power weapon. After a team successfully scores 3 kills, it moves to the next power weapon.

A match lasts for 15 minutes or ends when a team has scored 3 kills with all 13 power weapons in the game. Here is a list of all available power weapons in the game.
- Round 1 – Boomshot
- Round 2 – Torque Bow
- Round 3 – Dropshot
- Round 4 – Overkill
- Round 5 – Markza
- Round 6 – Lancer
- Round 7 – Retro Lancer
- Round 8 – Hammerburst
- Round 9 – Enforcer
- Round 10 – Gnasher
- Round 11 – Longshot
- Round 12 – EMBAR
- Round 13 – Boltok
